How Credits Work: The Billing Rules in One Place

One table for Xinsai's credit pricing — CN¥1 = 10 credits, images from 2, short videos from 12 — plus pre-authorization, refunded differences, full refunds on failure, and free credits.

This article answers one question: exactly what each click of Generate costs you, and when money comes back. By the end you should be able to work out what CN¥100 buys without asking anyone.

The whole rule in one line: CN¥1 = 10 credits

Everything on the platform settles in credits, at a fixed CN¥1 (RMB) = 10 credits. Credits carry no expiry date — whatever you don't spend stays in the account.

Before you submit, the tool panel usually shows the estimated cost for that run. If your balance is short, the top-up window opens on its own; you don't have to go hunting for it.

Roughly what each kind of generation costs

The table below is indicative. The estimated cost shown at submit time is what governs — rates are maintained in the admin console, and changes are announced on the platform beforehand (see the Terms of Service).

Type of generationIndicative priceHow it's counted
Hero images, scene images, retouchingFrom 2 credits per imagePer image; 2K / 4K output carries a multiplier
Background removal, image translationFrom 2 credits per imagePer image; layered editable translation costs more
HD Enhance, HD Upscale3-4 credits per imagePer image
Short drama ads (express version)12 credits for 6s, 20 for 10sBy duration tier
Runway and try-on video12 credits for 6s, 20 for 10sBy duration tier; bulk adds up per clip
Other video generationFrom 20 creditsBase covers 5s, per-second surcharge beyond that; 1080P has its own multiplier
Speech synthesisFrom 3 credits per 1,000 charactersBy character count, rounded up proportionally below 1,000
AI presenterPer minute of narration audioLonger costs more
Voice cloningOne-off flat feeCharged once per voice; synthesis afterwards is billed separately
Where a category shows a range, the spread comes down to two things: resolution and duration. Sharper and longer costs more.

Pre-authorization and refunded difference: you may pay less than quoted

Image generation runs on multi-model smart routing — behind one request sits a chain of candidate models tried in order, and whichever produces a good result first is the one used.

At submit time the system pre-authorizes at the price of the first candidate in the chain — the most expensive one, so the pre-authorized amount is the ceiling for that job. If a cheaper model ends up doing the work, the difference is refunded automatically, and your credit history carries a line noting that the final model came in below the queued estimate.

By design it only ever refunds, never back-charges: a downgrade will not come back asking for more.

What happens when something fails

  • The job fails outright (every candidate tried, no result): the pre-authorized credits are refunded in full, with nothing for you to do.
  • Items canceled or failed inside a bulk job: only the clips that actually rendered are billed; the rest come back.
  • Jobs that succeeded: those credits are spent and are not refundable (see the Terms of Service). If you don't like the result, adjust the prompt and re-run — a re-run is billed as a new job.

Every refund leaves a record under Account → Credit history (last 100 transactions): amount, reason and post-refund balance all reconcile. If one ever doesn't — a system fault, say — send the job time to [email protected] and we'll check it against the ledger.

What CN¥100 actually buys

CN¥100 = 1,000 credits (tiers of CN¥100 and above currently carry a bonus on top; the top-up page shows the current terms). Roughly speaking, 1,000 credits is:

  1. about 500 hero or scene images, at the 2-credit entry price;
  2. or about 83 six-second short videos, since both drama ads and runway clips are 12 credits each;
  3. or exactly 50 ten-second runway videos at 20 credits each.

What you get depends on the resolution and duration you pick — the interface quotes every job first.

Is there a membership discount?

Right now every registered user sits in the same user group at the same list price; there is no paid tier to buy. The system does support per-group discounts, so if you're buying for a team or producing at high volume and need dedicated pricing, write to [email protected].

For payment methods, crediting and invoices, see Top-ups, crediting and invoices; the full rate card also lives on the pricing page.
